Liver Transplantation In The Rat (Ⅰ)

Abstract

|
During 1970 to 1973 liver transplantation in the rat was performed in the Dr. Starzl´s laboratory of Colorado University and the experimental surgery room of the Seoul National University Hospital.
Microsurgical techniques have been utilized to heterotopic transplantation of both Lewis and Sprague-Dawley rat livers. Liver transplantation was done by the methods which appeared in the papers by Lee, Courn, and Kort, respectively.
The light microscopic findings of rejection and outflow block were observed in the graft which was supplied by the artery alone and used the infrahepatic vena cava as the efferent vessel.
